Support Ferne Animal Sanctuary with a Legacy
Gifts that people have left in their Will to Ferne Animal Sanctuary have enhanced and secured the lives of the many animals in its care. The Baroness Van Heemstra left a legacy which funded a barn for the farm animals which is now known as the Van Heemstra Shelter.
Betty Blakeborough’s legacy supported the lovely gazebo that provides the perfect outdoor classroom for school visits where children can learn about animals and how they should be looked after. Other legacies have funded a kennel in the rehoming centre, the cat and kitten run and so much more.

Could you help Ferne Animal Sanctuary by leaving a gift in your Will?
No matter how big or small a gift, each is invaluable in enabling us to continue our work and makes a difference to the number of animals we can help each year. Your support is important to us.
When writing your Will, the following wording may be of assistance:

A GIFT OF A SPECIFIC LEGACY
I give to Ferne Animal Sanctuary of CHARD, Somerset TA20 3DH, Registered Charity No. 1164350, the sum of £…………………..to be applied for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the same.
CHANGING YOUR WILL
Remember to update your Will if circumstances change. Alterations can be made by a “codicil”, a formal addition to your Will. This document will need signing and witnessing in the same way as your Will. Please do not make changes by crossing out paragraphs or adding to it, this could invalidate the Will.
