We are really excited to be able to finally re-open our gates on 12th April to our Annual Passholders and then open fully to the public on 19th April a week later!
We have chosen to reopen the Sanctuary to Annual Passholders on 12th April to enable our loyal passholders to have a week of access to the sanctuary to thank you all for supporting Ferne through the tough times. We will continue to commit to providing visitors with a fun, family-friendly, and Covid-19 secure day out. For this reason our safety measures will remain in place when we reopen.
Please bear in mind that it has been very quiet here for our animals and they need to get used to visitors again so don’t be surprised if they are surprised to see you. As always this is their home and they are our highest priority so please respect this by being quiet around them and allowing them to become accustomed to people again.
During the lockdown, we have been really busy trying to improve the facilities we have by relocating our café to a different building adjacent to the Gift Shop. Initially we will re-open for outdoor seating only in line with government requirements. We hope will be fully open by June.
We have also been busy making new activities on the sanctuary including This Way which is an exploration of how we can all become better animal owners.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the sanctuary in a peaceful and Covid secure way. Do keep an eye on our Facebook Page and our website where we will keep you updated with further information.
