BENSON the St Bernard certainly can’t be put in the dog house just yet – because he is still looking for a home.
We accept any animal whose life is in danger and for whom we have room. We actively seek caring homes for cats and dogs within a 30 mile radius of the Sanctuary.
Benson

BENSON the St Bernard certainly can’t be put in the dog house just yet – because he is still looking for a home.
Benson outgrew his owner’s accommodation and is now chewing over his future at Ferne Animal Sanctuary on the outskirts of Chard where he is available for rehoming within the 30 mile rehoming radius.
At three-years-old Benson weighs 68kg and eats three tins of dog food and eight cups of dried food a day. He also needs regular grooming.
Our other residents, which range from cows to chipmunks are not rehomed and stay with us for the rest of their lives. No animal is ever put to sleep unless our vet advises that its quality of life is no longer viable.
An activity we regard as a vital part of our work is the task of helping the young to understand the needs of animals and to this end we are always happy to welcome groups of young people to visit Ferne.
